Zonta is an International Organization of Women with International as well as Local projects.  2002-2004 biennium International Status of Women projects  are:  Preventing Violence against Women and Girls ($299,450), Anti-Trafficking of Women in Bosnia-Herzegovina ($320,000) and Education of Women in Afghanistan ($25,000 at present)

The following are some of the activities funded by the Foundation.

The Zonta International Strategies to Eradicate Violence Against Women and Children (ZISVAW) focus on prevention, awareness, education and the development of innovative approaches to eliminate abuse against women and children. Zonta International service projects address special needs, such as a cooperative project with UNIFEM to work with the government of Burkina Faso, Africa, to prevent female genital mutilation.

The Young Women in Public Affairs Award honors young women who demonstrate a commitment to leadership in public policy, government and volunteer organizations. Awards are given locally and internationally.  

The Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellowship Awards support outstanding women pursuing graduate degrees in aerospace related sciences and engineering. Since the program's inception in 1938 as a memorial to Zontian Amelia Earhart, Zonta has invested more than $4 million (US) in 800 fellowships to women from more than 50 countries.
